Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that you would answered or expanded upon please feel free to reach out to me!

How do you raise your puppies?

I follow the Puppy Culture system but have added elements from Avidog and ideas I have gained learning from other experienced breeders.

I want our puppies to be exposed to as many new experiences as is sensible for their age and development so that they can grow up to be resilient, well-adjusted canine citizens and family members.

How are puppies matched with their homes?

At around 7-8 weeks old we will evaluate the puppies for conformation and temperament. This information will allow us to match puppies according to what the interested homes have indicated on the puppy questionnaire

*If the puppy is determined to be a show or sport prospect, preference will be given to those who are seeking a show or sport puppy over placing the puppy in a pet home.

Do I have to show?

No, we don't want people to feel obligated do anything more than providing a happy, healthy and loving home for their puppy.

What are reasons not to get a Border Terrier?

Border Terriers are often very prey driven which can make it anywhere from complicated to impossible to have other small pets like cats or rodents in the same living space. This prey drive can also mean they aren't as reliable to have off leash in unfenced areas.

Some Border Terriers can also be prone to barking.
