The Eclipse Litter was so named because they were born on the day of the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. This was my very first litter! I remember that day well and how very nervous I was as it approached. Claire, though it was her first litter as well, handled it like a champ. She delivered the two puppies all by herself though they were rather large. She immediately set to cleaning and feeding them and I couldn't have asked for a better mother. The two puppies were named MoonPie and StarCrunch, both grizzle girls. Their story was chronicled daily on my Facebook page TerraRosa Terriers. Upon reaching eight weeks of age, it was determined that StarCrunch was going to be staying and MoonPie would be going to live in Ohio with her new family, Ann and Matt Leist! They gave her the name Soleil.

Soleil and StarCrunch, which over time was shortened to Crunch, were soon involved in many activities. Soleil has earned many many titles and at the time of last update her official name is:

Soleil from the beginning was very driven, bold and smart. She was always the first to learn whatever was being taught. She was always the first to explore any new experience. She was also the one that was the most interested in rats when exposed to them at eight weeks.

Crunch is a softer and sweeter personality and as such we have taken a slower start for her with many sports. She has done well in conformation and seems to really enjoy the "treat game." Around eighteen months old, her prey drive switched on and she has been game on ever since! Her favorite activities are those that involve getting to interact with people and she has never met a stranger.
